So last night I did in fact end up making crab bisque. I had a base mix that the mothership brought back from visiting the South- and then added onion, celery, corn and diced potatoes to it and a splash of white wine. Along with crab of course. And for kicks I made corn bread. My hubby is not a big fan and would rather have had my buttermilk biscuits, but considering the day and migraine I had, he was lucky to get dinner at all. No. Really. It turned out pretty good. I sent him to work with the rest of it today and told him to share.
When I mentioned the Q-tip diaper thing he look appalled and said "Really?!? How did I forget about those...?" Hmmm. I don't think Mensa will be asking him to be a keynote speaker anytime soon.
My chicken is still frozen solid and I don't really feel like taking the time and energy to figure out how to defrost it in the sink. The only other thing I can think of making (the meals for the rest of the week are relying on this damn chicken) is my minestrone soup. "But we juuuuuuuuuust had soup!" I can hear the hubby moaning to me later tonight. Any other suggestions gals? Or should I just stage a temporary strike and make him order pizza?

Tell him to find himself something to eat then if he doesn't want to have soup again. Not like making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is hard!
He came home, sniffling and sneezing with the beginnings of a cold. So I made the easiest thing I could find- Spaghetti and Raviolis. And then I left him the dishes. :)
Was it Chef Bouardie?!!!! or however you spell it?
When in doubt ALWAYS do what Lucy would do!
